There are well defined body building techniques supported by other activities having synergetic effect and better results. Great and sustainable results in bodybuilding are obtained by participating well in all the activities, which are necessary for the desired body building expected instead of doing some activities well and lacking in others.
To be at the Gym is one part of body building program and is not complete unless other requirements of the body building program are not carried out in equal proportion and necessary importance. Some people fail to recognize the importance of supporting activities and in the process their body building response is also not up to mark. Ultimately instead of continuing their body building efforts, they just drop out from their body building plans altogether.
Proper diet supporting muscle gain is essential. In it’s absence persons fail to get muscle gain required for body building. An improper diet just gives the calories for meeting energy needs ignoring requirement of right quantity of protein, vitamins and minerals necessary for achieving body building. Thus proper food should consist of complex carbohydrates sourced from whole grain cereals like oat, beans with lot of fiber in it, which should comprise 40 % of food. Proteins required for building tissues and muscles should be 40 % to be sourced from fish or chicken. The rest 30 % should be good fats sourced from unsaturated oils like olive oil.
Role of Sleep in Body Building: The professional body builders know that body builds itself, while at rest and not in the gym. One can get the useful information from the persons associated with weight training places existing in the community as welfare programs. One may feel that the time spent in the sleep is lost, which is not the fact, because body building activity is at the highest during sleep. One should not use an alarm clock for getting up. Let the body play it’s role of awakening restfully.
